It has now been one week since I returned from my trip to Atlanta. I was fortunate to be selected by Lisburn City Council as one of the small local businesses to represent our city on a civic and trade mission to the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
I met with gift retailers and bridal shops in Atlanta, and my jewelry is already on sale in 5 Continents in Buckhead, and hopefully soon in Decatur too.
The whole trip was a great experience, and I was also able to attend
- a civic event - a reception hosted by the British Consul General, Annabelle Malins, with the Irish Consulate General Paul Gleeson in attendance held in the official residence of the British Consulate
- some networking events (including the British American Business Group and the Irish Chamber of Atlanta)
- a dinner with the Lisburn Council representatives experiencing some traditional southern cooking
After the business part was over, I took the opportunity to stay on. I was able to explore the city further and then attend a SITS blogging conference.
If you know of a gift store near you which may be interested in stocking my handcrafted irish jewelry, I would appreciate you getting in touch, or passing on my details to them.
Thanks for your continued support of Janmary Designs.
